Scalzo foods had an established premium retail range of nuts and snack foods in Coles and Woolworths. To secure a greater market share they wanted to introduce a mid-level snacking brand that didn’t compete with their existing ranges.
The Thinking
The nutters brand was born to deliver a position were premium meets personality. Each range was given a humorous quirky character. The brand clearly aims at a younger buyer, more interested in flavour than premium ingredients or health. The brand was an instant success, growing from 6 skus, to 20+ skus.
